With high praise from its stars, the teaser for Wake Up Dead Man: A Knives Out Mystery has finally been released. The clip reintroduces Daniel Craig as detective Benoit Blanc and gives a first look at the incredible ensemble, which includes Glenn Close, who has called the film “one of the best experiences” of her life.
The story presents Blanc with an “impossible” case: the murder of a Catholic priest (Josh Brolin) in his own church during a service. The trailer hints at the suspenseful journey Blanc will undertake to find the killer among a group of very compelling suspects, each with a potential motive.
The cast is a key attraction, with Kerry Washington, Mila Kunis, Jeremy Renner, Cailee Spaeny, Andrew Scott, and Josh O’Connor joining Craig, Close, and Brolin. Fans will also be intrigued by Blanc’s new look, which features longer hair and a smart three-piece suit, a departure from his previous appearances.
The film celebrated its world premiere at the Toronto International Film Festival on September 6th and is now heading for a wider release. Wake Up Dead Man will play in select theaters from November 26th before launching on Netflix for viewers around the world on December 12th.
