South Korean President Lee Jae Myung has emphasized the need for a comprehensive investigation into a mine explosion within the Demilitarized Zone (DMZ) that injured three South Korean soldiers. The incident occurred on September 21 as soldiers were clearing a route in the western sector of the DMZ in preparation for a joint inspection.
During a Cabinet meeting, President Lee urged the military to conduct a swift and transparent investigation in cooperation with the United Nations Command.
