Russian President Vladimir Putin is set to embark on a two-day visit to Turkmenistan to participate in key regional summits, the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS) summit and the Caspian Environmental Summit. These gatherings are scheduled to take place in the Awaza national tourist zone on the Caspian Sea, where leaders from various nations will convene to discuss regional cooperation and environmental concerns affecting the Caspian region.
During his visit, President Putin is also expected to hold a bilateral meeting with Turkmenistan’s President Serdar Berdimuhamedov. The agenda for this meeting is anticipated to cover discussions on bilateral relations and areas of mutual interest between Russia and Turkmenistan, reflecting the ongoing diplomatic engagement between the two countries.
The summits will see participation from several regional leaders, including Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev, Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan, Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko, Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian, Kyrgyz President Sadyr Japarov, Kazakh President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, and Uzbek President Shavkat Mirziyoyev.
