Saudi Arabia’s Minister of Communications and Information Technology, Abdullah Al-Swaha, along with Haytham Al-Ohali, Governor of the Communications, Space and Technology Commission, engaged with top South Korean officials. Their conversations centered around joint efforts in AI, semiconductor development, and bolstering digital infrastructure. This aligns with Saudi Arabia’s strategic goal of positioning itself as a leading global hub for artificial intelligence.
The Saudi delegation also explored ways to enhance digital government services, focusing on unified government platforms and digital identity systems. They discussed leveraging AI to improve public services, seeking synergies between Saudi Arabia’s Digital Government Authority and South Korea’s Ministry of the Interior.
In a bid to attract technology investments and support Saudi startups, Al-Swaha met with APL Ventures’ founder and CEO. Their talks revolved around identifying investment opportunities and strategies to expand the presence of Saudi startups in international markets, thereby enriching the technological landscape of the Kingdom.
