Russian President Vladimir Putin has advocated for a more stable multipolar world order, suggesting that the ongoing global security crisis is exacerbated by confrontations between blocs and some countries seeking unilateral security advantages. Speaking at the 23rd annual meeting of the Valdai Discussion Club, Putin emphasized the need for negotiations to resolve the conflict in Ukraine, rather than aiming for the defeat of either side. He also expressed Russia’s desire for Ukraine to maintain a neutral stance once the conflict concludes.
Putin asserted that the previous unipolar international system is transitioning to a multipolar order, calling for enhanced cooperation rooted in the diverse interests of different countries. He reiterated Russia’s readiness to collaborate with other nations to establish a framework for a more stable international system.
In a separate development, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy announced the first combat use of Ukraine’s FP-7 tactical ballistic missile, which is domestically developed. While Zelenskyy did not reveal the location or target of the missile’s deployment, he indicated that Ukraine would continue to move toward production of this missile system.
